The Wetlands Planting
5th grade students from National Cathedral School and Excel Public Charter School connect throughout the school year on an environmental project.  With a curriculum developed by teachers from both schools, the girls study the wetlands, grow plants, and plant them in the Kennilworth Gardens together. They continue to look to strengthen the partnership begun in 5th grade through other disciplines, as well (writing projects, etc.).

Leadership Curriculum
Teachers from National Cathedral School and Excel Public Charter School are working together to develop a project-based leadership program.  The curriculum, developed by teachers from both schools, will teach the students about service, ethical leadership, and advocacy. Teachers are in a planning phase in 2014-2015 with the hope of rolling out student programming in the fall of 2015.

Bridges, DC
Middle School students from the National Cathedral School visit Bridges Public Charter School once a week to read with their kindergarten and first grade students.  In addition to reading, the girls also do art projects and have structured play time with the early elementary students.
