City Academy

Studio School for Learning

Recognizing the value of hands-on, experiential learning for future teachers, CityAcademy has paired with Teach for America and area universities to provide professional development opportunities for teachers-in-training. The school is working with the University of Missouri-St. Louis (UMSL) and its unique Studio School Program. This program pairs student teacher candidates with skilled CityAcademy teachers for an innovative instructional partnership in the classroom. CityAcademy is a private independent school, and was founded to offer academically rigorous programming to families living in underperforming and unaccredited districts; 100% of students are on financial aid, and 55% qualify for free or reduced lunch.
