Enrichment & Access
Pennington

The Pennington School partners with HomeFront, a non-profit organization in Central New Jersey aiming to end homelessness through family assistance. Throughout the school year, Pennington students deliver meals to families in transitional housing as well as visit and assist with the children in the organization’s tutoring program.  The relationships established through these activities allow for the students to not only provide assistance to families struggling with homelessness, but also to explore the issues of inequality and social justice. Additionally, the Pennington School also invites families from HomeFront to their theatrical events, coordinates a school-wide toy drive and hosts their holiday party.  Finally, students are able to participate in a month-long internship with HomeFront at the end of their senior year, giving them an in-depth look at the nature of public service, homelessness and community out-reach programs.
