Thursday, January 16, 2014

Allegheny West, a neighborhood in West Philadelphia, is on the rise. Read here more information about the commercial development in an area where few businesses have dared to invest.

Behind the scenes of this exciting development was a group called the Allegheny West Consortium, which comprises a diverse group of schools surrounding the neighborhood, including the St. James School, Penn Charter and Temple University.

Learn more about the Consortium and their work at the National Conference on Girls Education in Philadelphia on February 9, when Jim Ballengee of Penn Charter and David Kasievich of St. James School will share the story of how Allegheny West was formed, how it works and what it plans for the future.
