Grace Academy
Grace Academy is a tuition-free independent school for low-income girls grades 6-12 who reside in the city of Hartford.  Three times each school year students from Ethel Walker organize and host a half-day “field trip” for the entire Grace student body on the Ethel Walker campus.  In the past these field trips have focused on the arts, sports, horses, hiking and a Larger than Life self-esteem workshop for the girls.

Special Olympics
Ethel Walker students partner with the Special Olympics throughout the school year to help provide an opportunity for people with intellectual disabilities to participate in athletic training and competitions.  Weekly the students participate alongside the athletes in warm-ups, drills and game play for both a flag football team and a floor hockey team.  Ethel Walker and its students also host a flag football tournament for all of the Special Olympic participants.
