Claudia Daggett Community Engagement Award

The Claudia Daggett Community Engagement Award is given in recognition of the contribution that board member Clauda Daggett made to the National Network of Schools in Partnership. It is given to the school, group of schools, or school district who show outstanding commitment to creating programs that connect students and their learning to the real world. The recipient will receive a two-year membership to the National Network of Schools in Partnership and access to all of the member benefits as such.

About Claudia:
Claudia Daggett served the Independent Schools Association of the Central States (ISACS) as its Executive Director from 2014-2020.  An independent school teacher and leader for four decades, she served as head of school at Friends Academy (MA) for 11 years followed by several years as executive director of the Elementary School Heads Association (ESHA) and independent consultant with Gregory Floyd and Associates. Claudia was a Klingenstein Visiting Heads Fellow in 2003 and holds an M.S. Ed in educational leadership.

Throughout her career, Claudia has been a champion for public-private partnerships amongst schools, a fierce advocate for equity in education, and a connector of all people.  She has left an indelible mark on independent schools in her 40+ year career and as a result they are more welcoming, inclusive, and have strengthened relationships with their community.

Claudia served on the NNSP board from 2014-2020.
